Woman, 18, loses licence after blowing over limit, rolling car on to roof in Unley Park, police allege
A teen who rolled her car on to its roof in one of Adelaide’s priciest suburbs was driving drunk, police allege.
An 18-year-old woman has lost her licence after she rolled a car on to its roof in the middle of the street in a top-shelf suburb and allegedly blew twice over the legal limit.
Police attended the scene on Northgate St at Unley Park after reports a Toyota SUV had crashed into a parked car.
When police arrived, the Toyota was found on its roof as a result of a rollover.
Police say the driver, an 18-year-old woman from Hyde Park, escaped without injury.
She was breath-tested by patrols, allegedly returning a reading of 0.117 – more than twice the legal limit.
Checks on her licence revealed she was the holder of a P2 licence, meaning she must not drive with any alcohol.
She was reported for drunk driving, due care, breach of licence conditions.
She was issued a six-month instant loss of licence and will be summoned to attend court at a later date.
