What you need to know about this weekend’s Tour Down Under 2025 road closures

The 25th Tour Down Under kicks off on Friday and we’ve compiled a list of all the road closures taking place this weekend, from the beaches to the Hills.

Multiple road closures will be put in place across Adelaide this weekend as this year’s Tour Down Under race kicks off on Friday.

Hard road closures mean roads will be closed to all traffic with soft road closures granting access for local residents and businesses only.

There will also be rolling closures in place meaning specific roads will be closed temporarily as the group rides through.

From Aldinga Beach to Stirling, here’s all the road closures taking place this weekend.

Friday 17 January: Women’s Stage 1 – Brighton to Aldinga

Jetty Road: 5:00am – 2:30pm from Elm Street to Esplanade

Esplanade: 5:00am – 2:30pm from Alfreda Street to Beach Road

Aldinga Beach

Road Closures (Hard)

Esplanade: 6:00am – 7:00pm from Gordon Street to Hamilton Road

Hume Street: 6:00am – 7:00pm from Esplanade to approx. 50m southeast of Esplanade

Butterworth Street: 6:00am – 7:00pm from Esplanade to Atkinson Crescent

Croser Ave: 6:00am – 7:00pm from Butterworth Road to Blacker Road
