The arrest came just hours after police asked for the public’s help to find Mr Headon but warned he should not be approached.
Police say Mr Headon, 46, was wanted in South Australia in relation to recent serious offending.
Police say it is believed he travelled to South Australia from Victoria in the past fortnight and has ties to the southern suburbs of Adelaide.
