Man arrested after allegedly threatening victim with firearm in Reynella East

A man has been arrested after he allegedly threatened a visitor with a firearm in the early hours of Sunday morning in Adelaide’s south.

A Reynella East man has been arrested after allegedly threatening another man with a firearm.

The 53-year-old allegedly threatened him after the victim approached the suspect’s Peasy Place home and tried to speak with the occupant just before 5.30am on Sunday.

The victim was left uninjured and called the police, with STAR Group officers, Polair and negotiators brought in to help.

SA Police said officers searched the Reynella East home and found a firearm believed to be the one used to threaten the victim.

A 53-year-old man from the address was arrested and charged with threaten to kill or endanger life, assault and possessing a firearm without a licence.

He has been refused bail and is expected to appear at Christies Beach Magistrates Court on Monday.
