Two boys have been arrested and charged after allegedly robbing a Glenelg East service station.

Just after 9.30pm on Sunday, police were called to a service station on Brighton Rd after reports a duo allegedly threatened staff before stealing cash, cigarettes and mobile phones.

Police arrived at the scene and set up cordons, while Polair was called in to help with the search – but the suspects had run from the scene and could not be found.

However, just before 3.30am police went to a Huntfield Heights address and arrested two youths – a 14-year-old boy from Huntfield Heights and 13-year-old boy from Craigmore.

The 14-year-old was charged with aggravated robbery and has been refused bail. He will appear in the Christies Beach Youth Court on Monday.

The 13-year-old was also charged with aggravated robbery. He has been bailed to appear in the Port Adelaide Youth Cout on February 6.

Largs Bay service station robbed at knifepoint

A man allegedly pulled a knife on staff in a terrifying robbery at Largs Bay on Sunday morning.

Police said they were called after an armed man entered a service station on Military Rd and threatened staff, about 4.50am.

They said he stole cash and cigarettes, before fleeing on foot.

No one was injured in the robbery.

Police have described the man as being of caucasian appearance, about 160cm tall and wearing a green jumper.

He was last seen running east on Wills St.
