How much interest rate cuts are set to save homeowners this year in every suburb

The Reserve Bank is expected to soon announce an interest-rate cut, with new modelling revealing the varying impact it will have on household budgets across each suburb.

Will home prices continue to grow in 2025?

Confidence in an interest-rate cut has been growing following months of falling inflation and the consensus among economists and lenders is that the Reserve Bank will announce a cut in mid-February.

An anticipated 0.25 per cent drop in the cash rate, once passed on by banks, is expected to be a game changer for the housing market, which has been losing steam since spring.

With as many as three additional cuts expected, the impact on household budgets will vary greatly by suburb.

PropTrack modelling has revealed how much a new homeowner could expect to save in each capital city, plus each individual suburb. See what savings each cut will deliver the average homeowner below.
