Crows ruckman Kieran Strachan ties the knot with Suzie Cockroft at Anvers Wines in Kangarilla
A serious injury wasn’t going to stop the Crows’ big man from tying the knot with his longtime love. See the photos.
A moon boot wasn’t going to stop Crows ruckman Kieran Strachan from walking down the aisle and tying the knot with fiancee Suzie Cockroft on the weekend.
The couple exchanged vows at picturesque Anvers Wines in Kangarilla on Sunday, with Strachan’s Crows teammate Darcy Fogarty among the groomsmen.
They shared the good news on social media in a joint Instagram post captioned: “The Strachans”.
Both originally from Victoria, the couple posted several photos from the big day, some of which revealed Strachan’s discreet moon boot, which he’s wearing following an injury suffered in December.
He reported soreness after running and scans showed an acute navicular stress fracture in his right foot, which required surgery.
The Strachans, who both studied at La Trobe University in Bendigo and have dated for several years, announced their engagement in March.
Strachan, 29, has played six matches for the Crows since joining the club in 2019.
In a happy coincidence, the Crows’ other ruckman, Reilly O’Brien, will tie the knot in the Barossa Valley on Friday.
