A 79yo man struck while riding his mobility scooter has died in hospital
An elderly man struck while driving his mobility scooter has become the state’s 17th fatality on SA roads this year.
An elderly man struck while riding a mobility scooter in Ridleyton on Monday has become the state’s 17th road fatality this year after he died in hospital on Thursday.
Police said the 79-year-old man from Brompton collided with a Nissan sedan about 6pm on Monday at the intersection of Torrens Rd and Blight St.
The man was rushed to hospital with serious injuries while the driver of the Nissan, a 29-year-old woman from Port Augusta West, was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
Major Crash officers are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
