Six chocolate bar desserts recipes for the air fryer

We air-fried six different chocolate bars and it might be the hackiest dessert to ever exist. This experiment is proof that you can air-fry (almost) everything. Check out the recipes here.

Top 5 air fryer desserts

The appliance that challenged our trusty oven took us by storm, and quickly scored a permanent seat on most Aussies’ bench tops around the country.

First, we were cooking perfectly golden, crispy chicken nuggets and potato wedges… but quickly we started to get really creative with our air-frying antics.

From air-fried custard, pavlova and crispy roast pork belly, it’s safe to say we love to experiment with our most-loved appliance (sorry, not sorry slow cooker).

We even went as far as air-frying ENTIRE blocks of chocolate, and they may or may not be our favourite air-fried creations yet.

Here’s what happened (and our verdict on each):

Air fryer Marble lattice

Featuring an entire block of Cadbury Marble wrapped in a delicate puff pastry, this golden white and milk chocolate number has a crispy, exterior and gooey, marbled chocolate interior. Ready in under 20 minutes with just 3 ingredients, it’s the perfect ‘lazy’ dessert for your Friday nights in. Oh, and the lattice pastry pattern makes the easy dessert look even more impressive! Although this one wasn’t our #1 block to air-fry, we loved the lattice pattern of the pastry!

To all the Caramello Koala lovers, this number stars an oozing centre of Cadbury Caramello chocolate, wrapped snug in a flaky puff pastry outside. With just 2 ingredients and the help of your air fryer, we love serving this easy sweet and gooey dessert with a drizzle of cream as the finishing touch! The flavour and texture of this one kicked all the goals, as who doesn’t love a bit of oozy Caramello mixed with melted chocolate?

Air fryer Aero Mint danish.

If you love choc-mint as much as we do, just wait until you give this air-fried Aero chocolate a taste. In under 30 minutes, two ingredients are all it takes to create a minty, sweet, pastry-encased air-fried dessert. Not to mention, the unique pastry design makes it look way more impressive than it really is! This one is an absolute must for the choc-mint lovers, but didn’t quite make #1 for us.

Air fryer Caramilk danish.

The Caramilk craze won’t ever die, and this air-fried version is proof why. The iconic caramelised white chocolate flavour, wrapped in a flaky golden pastry and served with a drizzle of caramel sauce and ice-cream: what’s there not to love! It’s decadent, it’s easy, and best of all, it’s delicious. This recipe keeps going viral on socials for us – and when you taste it, it’s easy to understand why. It’s got everything you want in an indulgent dessert – but spoiler alert: it’s super sweet!

Air fryer Fruit and Nut danish.

Air fryer Fruit ‘n’ Nut danish

You either love it or hate it, but Fruit ‘n’ Nut chocolate is definitely a winner in our dessert books. The ultimate hacky dessert, we even stuffed marshmallows inside the puff pastry exterior, making it the perfect rocky road-inspired treat. That’s our lazy Christmas dessert sorted! This one was the underdog in our minds, but it’s surprisingly good – we think it’s the combination of melted marshmallow and chocolate that will steal your festive heart.

In yet another Caramilk twist, we filled the pastry with the Hokey Pokey variety and added banana. If you’re a banoffee fan, this is definitely the air-fried pastry for you! Flavour-wise, it didn’t quite beat Caramilk for us – but that geometric pastry pattern really has us hooked.
