Severe storm warning for Darling Downs
THE Bureau of Meteorology has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for parts of the Toowoomba, Southern Downs and Lockyer Valley regions.
THE Bureau of Meteorology has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for parts of the Toowoomba, Southern Downs and Lockyer Valley regions.
Severe thunderstorms were detected on the weather radar near the area southwest of Esk, Pittsworth, Maryvale and the area south of Esk.
They are forecast to affect Esk, Millmerran and the D'Aguilar Ranges by 3:10pm and Ipswich, Boonah and the area southwest of Toowoomba by 3:40pm.
Damaging winds, heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding and large hailstones are likely.
The next warning is due to be issued by 3:45pm.
