Uber Eats begins operating on the Southern Downs as Warwick lands on national food delivery service’s map
A national food delivery service has partnered with a number of businesses in regional Queensland as it expands into country areas. See which restaurants are now taking orders.
Regional Queensland residents across the southwest can now order from their favourite restaurants from the comfort of their home, as national delivery service Uber Eats expands.
It comes as part of Uber Eats’ commitment to broaden its regional growth in 2025, taking its services to more than 100 towns across Australia.
Warwick is among 14 new towns on the delivery map, which also includes the Western Downs and South Burnett.
Launching in town this week, the service already has more than a dozen Rose City businesses offering the service, offering a variety to the limited list of rival delivery service Menulog.
Among those are local favourites the Cherry Tree Coffee & Dining and Psycho Suzie’s Brewery.
Cherry Tree cafe manager Nicky said the business was looking to try something new to help widen their customer base.
Customers will have a limited menu to order from while the cafe refines which items will be up for delivery.
While orders have been off to a slow start, Psycho Suzie’s manager Dean Alsford is hopeful to see an uptick in the service.
Alcohol aside, the brewery’s full food menu is available to order for delivery.
Dean said he hoped to get alcohol as part of the service in the future if this trial proved successful.
Other businesses on the Uber Eats app include Warwick Fish Depot, 4Stagoni Pizza, Delights of India, Charchy’s, Char-Belas Restaurant, Sweet Republic, Cafe 63 and more.
