Police investigating two armed robberies that occurred overnight in Toowoomba

A woman and two children were confronted in the night by two men who forced their way into a Drayton home, brandishing a knife and gun.

Police are on the hunt for two armed men who are wanted for a string of home invasions overnight.

According to the initial police report, the men forced their way into a Anzac Ave home in Drayton about 10.30pm on Thursday, brandishing a knife and gun.

They threaten a woman and two children, demanding keys before fleeing in a dark sedan.

The woman and child were not physically injured.

About 11pm the men entered a Magpie Drive home at Cambooya and threatened a man and woman.

They assaulted the man, who suffered minor injuries, and stole a Mitsubishi Lancer and personal items before fleeing.

Preliminary investigations also indicate the same group were involved in the theft of Toyota Prado around 9.40pm from a Harristown service station.

Investigations are continuing.
