A police officer from the North Coast Region has been suspended and faces two criminal charges.
The 53-year-old is charged with serious assault and public nuisance relating to alleged events while off duty.
He is expected to appear in the Maryborough Magistrates Court on May 6, 2025.
In a statement, QPS said it informed the public when a member of the Service faced serious allegations of misconduct to keep a commitment to high standards of behaviour, transparency and accountability.
It also reiterated that a suspension against the member did not mean the allegations against them were substantiated.
