Emergency services scour Sunshine Coast mountain after climber reported missing

Emergency services have rushed to a Sunshine Coast mountain as reports a climber has gone missing.

NINE emergency service crews are scouring a Coast mountain in search of a person reported missing this afternoon.

Police, Queensland Fire and Emergency Services, ambulance officers and State Emergency Service personnel joined a search at Mt Tibrogargan in the Glasshouse Mountains after they were called just after 1.30pm.

A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said nine crews were searching above Chicken Rock.

At 3.20pm a QFES spokeswoman said information about the person's identity had not been made public and a search of the top of the mountain continued.
