Man dies in two-vehicle crash near Murgon, woman hospitalised

A 37-year-old Cinnabar man has died following a two-vehicle crash in Silverleaf on Sunday morning, while a 48-year-old woman was rescued from the wreckage and flown to hospital.

A 37-year-old Cinnabar man has tragically died following a two-vehicle crash in Silverleaf, near Murgon, on Sunday morning.

The Queensland Ambulance Service reported receiving a call at 9.07am about a serious collision on Bicks Road.

Paramedics assessed a 48-year-old woman who had been trapped in her vehicle.

Police confirmed the woman was freed from the wreckage before being flown to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.

The man, who was driving a Toyota HiLux, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Emergency services, including the forensic crash unit, remained at the site until late afternoon.

The crash occurred on a narrow stretch of road at a crest, where blind spots make it difficult to see oncoming traffic.
