January 17, 6.30am: Police are calling for information after a car was set on fire in an Alice Springs suburb overnight.
About 9.21pm on Thursday, police received reports that a blue 2008 Mitsubishi lancer had been set alight on the street of Aneura Place, Sadadeen.
Members of the fire department extinguished the blaze before a crime scene was established by police.
Initial investigations indicate two people were seen standing in vicinity of the vehicle immediately before it caught fire, with police calling on anyone with information contact authorities and quote NTP2500006195.
Enquiries are ongoing.
Four teens abscond supported home in Alice Springs
January 16, 3pm: The NT Police is on the hunt for four teenagers who allegedly absconded from a supported accommodation in Alice Springs.
The four boys aged 14, 15, 15 and 16 allegedly climbed a fence as they absconded from the area about 10.05pm on Wednesday.
Police investigated the scene, however the four teens are yet to be found.
Strike Force Viper are investigating the incident and are utilising extensive resources to find the youths.

Alleged meth driver takers police on car chase through Alice Springs
January 16, 8.20am: About 10.45pm on Wednesday, a vehicle driving through the suburb of Gillen failed to stop when directed by police.
Assisted by the drone unit, officers pursued the vehicle which veered off the road and into a public park in Braitling, driving over several bollards in the process.
Police allege the driver then got out of the vehicle and ran before police managed to chase down and arrest him.
Police say the man tested positive to methamphetamine and has since been charged with dangerous driving, drug driving, resisting police, breaching bail and a number of other traffic offences.
He will appear in Alice Springs Court on Thursday.
Woman stabbed in head in terrifying alleged home invasion
January 15: An Alice Springs woman has been left with stab wounds to her head, hands and arms after a horrifying alleged home invasion – and the offenders are still on the run.
NT Police are calling for information after the alleged aggravated burglary that happened in South Terrace on Wednesday afternoon.
At 4.15pm reports were received of an aggravated burglary at a home with a sole occupant, a woman inside.
Police allege the woman was alone at home when three alleged offenders broke a window and got inside.
The trio were allegedly armed with “edged weapons” and confronted the woman.
She was assaulted and left with stab wounds to her hands, arms and head, police say.
Cops arrived on the scene and offered first aid to the woman but she was soon taken to Alice Springs Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police in a statement on Wednesday afternoon said investigations were ongoing.

Teen boy wore ankle monitor, was on bail in alleged car theft: Police
January 15, 7.20am: A teen boy wearing a monitoring device has been arrested after allegedly stealing a car in Alice Springs while they were on bail.
About 7pm on Tuesday, Northern Territory Police received reports of an unlawful entry at a business in Percy Court in Kilgariff.
Police were told a Toyota Fortuna had been stolen from the residence, and it was later seen driving through Alice Springs.
Officers from Operation Ludlow, the drone unit, and Strike Force Viper were deployed to locate the stolen vehicle, police said.
Police allege one of the offenders involved in the vehicle theft was a boy, aged 13, who was known to police.
It is understood the vehicle’s movements were tracked in real-time as the teen was wearing an electronic monitoring device.
About 30 minutes after police were dispatched, the stolen vehicle was found at Ilparpa town camp.
The teenager was arrested and has since been charged with aggravated burglary, property damage and other driving offences.
They are due to appear at Alice Springs Youth Justice Court on Wednesday.
Police believe more people may have been involved in the vehicle theft and are urging anyone with information to contact authorities.

Bitten and scratched: Off-duty officer allegedly assaulted in Alice Springs
January 13, 4.30pm: A woman has been arrested after allegedly biting and scratching an off-duty police officer in Alice Springs.
Police alleged the 29-year-old woman was seen behaving in a disorderly manner outside a supermarket on Bath St at 4.30pm on Sunday.
The woman was then involved in a physical altercation with two security guards, police said.
The off-duty officer and an off-duty police auxiliary officer identified themselves as police and told the woman to leave the area.
The woman then allegedly threatened the officers, and was “ground stabilised” by the officers, when the she allegedly bit and scratched one of the officers.
On-duty police arrested the woman and she was charged with breach of bail, assault police and summary offences.
Acting Commander Michael Budge commended the officers for continuing to protect the Alice Springs community, even while off the clock.
“Assaulting a police officer is disgraceful,” he said.
“Our members work tirelessly to serve and protect Territorians, both on and off-duty, and the behaviour displayed by this offender will not be tolerated.”

Man arrested for alleged burglary attempt in Red Centre
January 13, 2pm: An 18-year-old man has been arrested in Alice Springs for allegedly attempting to burglarise a licensed venue.
NT Police allege the man was attempting to unlawfully enter a Todd Street premises at 1am on Monday when they received multiple reports from the owner.
CCTV operators saw the man on the roof of the building and allegedly damaging a security camera, police said.
Members from Strike Force Viper attended and arrested the 18-year-old nearby.
Entry was not gained to the premises, police said.

Two men knocked out in 10-person Alice Springs brawl
January 12, 12pm: A 10-man brawl on Sunday morning has left two men knocked out, with police appealing to the public to help them catch the alleged offenders.
According to a police statement, the brawl occurred in the carpark of an “entertainment complex” on Barrett Drive and involved up to 10 men.
Police first received reports of the fight about 2.55am.
During the brawl police said two men, aged 20 and 25, were knocked out.
The 25-year-old man was allegedly kicked in the head by two men while on the ground and was taken to Alice Springs Hospital by an ambulance with non-life threatening injuries.
The 20-year-old man became aggressive while receiving medical treatment upon regaining consciousness, NT Police alleged.
He was taken into custody by police and sent to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The alleged offenders from this brawl remain at large, with police appealing for anyone with information to contact them on 131 444 and quote NTP2500004439.
Men apprehended after Todd St bar break-in
January 12, 12pm: Four men have been arrested in relation to a break-in at a licensed premises on Todd St on Friday night about 9pm.
NT Police confirmed in a statement three adults aged 18, 27 and 42, as well as one boy aged 13 had been arrested and charged with attempted aggravated burglary and damage to property.
They will appear at Alice Springs Court on Monday.

Braitling home’s door kicked in by three men
January 12, 12pm: Three men have allegedly broken into a Braitling home, kicking down a locked door to threaten the residents.
NT Police said in a statement they first received reports of the incident on Lackman Terrace about 1.50am on Saturday morning.
They allege the three men broke in to the residence and began rummaging through the house looking for car keys.
The three men are then alleged to have kicked down a locked door and threatened the two hiding residents before fleeing the scene.
The two victims are unharmed and did not report anything stolen.
Strike Force Viper has taken over the investigation and will search for the three alleged offenders.
