After months of searching for Roma woman Tayla Spies who went missing in February, police made the tragic discovery of her remains on a remote property in southwest Queensland.

The 29-year-oldl was last seen travelling along the Canarvon Highway south of Roma in a white 2017 Toyota HiLux, wearing a pink shirt, light coloured shorts and thongs.

The 63-day search ended on April 4 when police were alerted to a sighting of the white Toyota HiLux on a property at Noorindoo, more than 100km from where she was last seen.

Her sister, Rebecca Spies, took to social media at the time.

“It is with very heavy hearts that we announce the devastating loss of our beautiful, Tayla,” she wrote.

“Although she may no longer be here with us, she will always be in our hearts and I will carry her with me wherever I go.

“We would like to thank each and every one of you for all of the support and love we have received over the past 63 days and for the ongoing support we will continue to receive going forward.
