A seasoned Central Queensland developer is planning to build an acreage estate in a high-growth area of the Capricorn Coast.

Pacific Properties senior project manager Ravi Setu revealed plans to build a new 150 block estate, each with one acre blocks.

The development, dubbed ‘Secret Valley’, would be located on an old farm near the recent Hidden Valley developments west of Yeppoon.

Mr Setu said Pacific Properties had placed under contract a 300 acre parcel of land at the end of Hidden Valley road.

Mr Setu’s family has been developing properties for 50 years, with he himself being in the business for 22.

Other developments his family have been involved in include Mulambin Waters, Lammermoor Sands and others.

“I’ve been trying to get this lot for 18 months,” Mr Setu said.

About 30,000 people migrated to Queensland in the past 12 months according to Mr Setu.

“A lot of those people are coming to regional Queensland,” Mr Setu said.

“People are trying to get into the sun and away from the cold.”

Mr Setu said the biggest migration to the area was from Brisbane, the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast.

The development is currently in the planning stage and the developers are discussing the potential development with Livingstone Shire Council.

If approved, Mr Setu hopes the project is turning soil by mid-2023.
