Real Estate: Cairns $1m-plus homes sold to June 30
Cairns kept pace with national property trends with some stellar prices paid for homes as the 2020-2021 financial year wound to a close. Here’s what sold in the exclusive $1m-plus category.
CAIRNS is more than holding its own as property prices nationwide continued to escalate throughout the fourth quarter of the 2020-2021 financial year, with newcomers to the Far North targeting the beaches.
Ray White Cairns Beaches Principal Paul Sterling said interstate buyers who sold their southern homes found seaside living within reach in Cairns.
“People do want to live on, or near the water, so these are very desirable locations for people coming from down south who’ve been able to sell their property for a good deal of money, and they’re finding beach locations here affordable, that is definitely a driver,” he said.
