A livestock property at Lake Mary has sold to a buyer from the Yeppoon area for $1.05 million.
A 130ha livestock property at Lake Mary has sold to a buyer from the Yeppoon area for $1.05 million.
The property at 695 Lake Mary Road settled through @ The Beach Real Estate Yeppoon on August 2.
Sales agent Sean Appleton said the property, also known as Pandanus Creek, had “good steady inquiry” which “ramped up” over the past six months.
“There was plenty of interest over the last six months,” Mr Appleton said.
“That’s due to the market getting a lot hotter than it was 12 months prior.”
He said the previous owner, Ron Evans, was at the property for about 20 years and ran cattle.
“He had done a lot of work over the years, clearing, and improving pastures,” he said.
He said the buyer, who was a young man from the Yeppoon area, had plans to improve the property even further and run cattle.
“He was aware of what the prices were doing with rural land and saw that as good value,” he said.
“The price of rural land is going up and is a lot more sought after than it was 15 years ago.
“It’s also only 20 minutes from Yeppoon and the views out on that property looking from the house back over Lake Mary are equivalent to any rural views you will ever get, they are beautiful.”
The property boasts 130ha of improved pastures including Pangola, Callide Rhodes and marine couch, with fencing.
Water is supplied by two separate bores, one equipped, and two permanent dams.
The property also has a solid three-bedroom, one-bathroom highset Queenslander with timber floors, high ceilings and “fantastic” views over the farm, on a well-kept fenced yard with fruit trees and a four-bay machinery shed.
