IT’S been the talk of the town on the Goldie, but now Spyre Group has revealed plans — and the first pictures — of its most luxurious residential project yet.

The developer has lodged an application for a collection of just three apartments on a near beachfront site at 10 Goodwin Terrace in Burleigh Heads.

Spyre spent around $11 million earlier this year on the site, which has been home to a 100-year house.

Spyre Group director Andrew Malouf said the project reflected the company’s entry into the “hyper luxury property development space”.

“This site is understood by many as the best site on Australia’s east coast,” Mr Malouf said. “A custom tailored, incredibly exclusive offering of just three residences, positioned perfectly on a site that has the most acclaimed elevated beachfront status in Queensland, is not something that the market has seen before and is not likely to ever be repeated.”

Mr Malouf said he was “very conscious” of meeting community expectations with the project.

“Whilst in the preliminary stages we are looking to create a very low-density proposition that

fits with the aesthetics of the pristine headland,” he said.

“It was integral for us to pay significant homage to the site through a development that not

only architecturally challenges the existing benchmark for luxury offerings but is equally

respectful in honouring the true natural beauty of this highly acclaimed location.”

Designed by Bureau Proberts, the project will feature a two-level penthouse with its own private rooftop pool.

Other features of the apartments include 3.5 metre-high ceilings, no internal corners — only sweeping curves, enclosed basement garages for each residence, hand-crafted kitchen islands and ensuite vanities and spa/retreat-style open plan ensuites with integrated internal landscaping.

Unusually, the apartments will be unique in that they won’t have any internal corners. Image supplied.

Spyre Group has recently achieved sell-outs of its latest Cala Dei project in just four weeks

in Coolangatta, the $77 million Natura in Burleigh Heads, the $79 Million Elysian in

Broadbeach and the $25 million MAYA in Kirra Beach.

“As the market, particularly on the Gold Coast, continues to benefit from this boutique boom, we felt it was necessary to continue to evolve outside of this existing space in order to elevate the luxury market on the Gold Coast,” Mr Malouf said.

Goodwin Terrace has been a prime target for developers and for buyers of big-ticket apartments over the past three years.

Local developer FORME, led by managing director David Calvisi, recently sold out Luna, at 50 Goodwin Terrace.
