There are only 100 Coles Golden Avocado Stikeez in Australia and more are being claimed each day with winners getting a new fridge and a $100 gift card. Is your suburb one of them?
MOVE over Billy Banana, a new ultra-rare Stikeez collectable is in circulation and this year Coles are offering more than just the $100 reward for finding one.
Shoppers who find one of the 100 Golden Abby Avocados will not only receive the $100 gift card offered with last year’s Golden Banana promotion, they will win a SMEG FAB28 fridge, worth $1990.
With one of the Golden Bananas reportedly selling on eBay for $20,100 last year, it’s hard to predict the real worth of these mini collectables.
Nationally, there are still 54 Golden Avocados to be found.
In Queensland, 13 have been claimed from Coolangatta, Rosenthal Heights, Clayfield, Gatton, Carrara, Toowoomba, Annandale, Ferny Grove, Ipswich, Mermaid Waters, Wynnum West, Gold Coast and Gordon Park.
Ten have been found in the New South Wales suburbs of Manly, Glen Innes, Broken Hill, Glenmore Park, Oyster Bay, Coal Point, Wagga Wagga, Wangi Wangi, Goulburn and Kembla Grange.
Only three have been found in South Australia with winners in Blackwood, Clearview and Adelaide.
Tasmania and the ACT have each had one reported winner in Taroona and Nicholls.
There have been 12 reported Victorian Golden Avocado findings in Keysborough, Torquay, Point Cook, Roxburgh Park, Emerald, Warranwood, Melbourne, Burwood East, Kew, Hillside and Clyde North.
And the five winners in Western Australia are from Tapping, Eden Hill, Broadwater, Caversham and Bayswater.
There are 24 figurines in the Coles Stikeez Fresh Friends set, with five rare Special Effects Stikeez and the ultra-rare Golden Avocado, with the aim to encourage children to eat a well-balanced diet.
