Qantas has launched a huge international sale across its entire North and South American network, as Australia’s airline price wars heat up.

From Thursday until March 26, customers will have access to discounted flights from most of Australia’s capital cities to Los Angeles, New York, Dallas, San Francisco, Vancouver, Santiago and Honolulu.

Return fares start from $999 from Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne to Honolulu in Hawaii.

Passengers can also snap up discounted prices of $1,199 from Sydney and Melbourne to Los

Angeles, $1399 from Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney to Vancouver and $1,699 from Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane to New York.

There is also a sale price of $1799 from Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Brisbane to Santiago in Chile.

Additionally, from August this year the Qantas A380 will operate for the first time since 2020 from Sydney to Dallas Fort Worth in Texas.

“We know Australians love to visit the Americas and, last year alone, we flew over half a million customers to destinations across North and South America,” Qantas CEO International Cam Wallace said.

“We have included some of our most popular routes in this sale such as Santiago along with fan favourites LA and New York. We also have return fares to Honolulu starting from under $1000, so there’s never been a better time to book a trip to Hawaii and beyond.”

After a challenging start to the year with severe wildfires, LA Tourism is looking forward to welcoming Australians back.

“Los Angeles is open for business and ready to showcase the city’s breadth of attractions, vibrant culinary scene, outdoor adventures, and world-class sports and entertainment offerings,” a spokesperson for LA Tourism said.

“While wildfires have impacted some communities, the heart of Los Angeles remains as vibrant as ever and the city is looking forward to welcoming back Aussies with open arms.”

The Qantas sale comes the day after Jetstar launched a 48-hour sale on 100,000 fares from $33 to beat rival Virgin Australia, which also launched a one million fare sale starting from $45 to Byron Bay in economy.

Internationally, return economy fares with Virgin to Queenstown start from $425, $489 to Bali, $499 to Vanuatu, $569 to Fiji and $689 to Samoa. Jetstar were offering a flight to Phuket for $279, and $195 to Bali.

The Qantas sale fares are for travel between April 14 to January 29, 2026, with select blackout dates and are available until 11.59pm (AEDT) Wednesday, March 26, 2025, unless sold out prior.
