Fifty-seven-year-old Joseph Saad suffered severe head injuries when he was hit on the corner of Windermere Drive and Hazelmere Court in Hodgson Vale on New Year’s Eve.

He was taken to Toowoomba Hospital before being flown to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane where he remained until his death on Friday night.

No arrests have been made as of Saturday morning and investigations are ongoing.

Nearby residents previously told The Chronicle they heard vehicles revving around the time of the incident, before hearing sirens.
