MEMBER for Waterford Shannon Fentiman has congratulated regional winners in Queensland’s annual Showcase Awards for Excellence in Schools.
“It is great to see four winners and seven commendation recipients from the South East region for demonstrating excellence in education, innovation and leadership,” Ms Fentiman said.
“I am particularly pleased to see Marsden State High School selected as the South East’s School of the Year. It is a great honour and richly deserved.
“The South East Showcase Awards regional winners were chosen from among 118 submissions that involved more than 70,000 students across the state in the 19th year of the program.”
Woodridge MP Cameron Dick said it was great to see Beenleigh Special School and Logan City Special School honoured for their contribution.
Beenleigh State High School also won the Q Super Showcase Award for Excellence in the Secondary Years.
The excellence awards are the most prestigious educational honours in Queensland.
