Donut King collaborates with Ovolo Sydney for National Donut Day ‘Hot Cinni Hotel’ experience
An Aussie food giant is offering an exclusive new experience for those who prefer their getaways on the sweet side.
Australian donut giant Donut King has teamed up with an award-winning hotel brand to launch a luxurious experience for those who like their getaways on the sweet side.
The ‘Hot Cinni Hotel’ collaboration with designer hotel brand Ovolo Hotels will kick off from National Donut Day on June 6.
Set at Ovolo Sydney in Woolloomooloo in the heritage-listed wharf, the experience pays homage to Donut King’s most popular product – the hot cinnamon donut.
Two rooms at the hotel have been transformed into ‘Hot Cinni Suites’, taking inspiration from the famous donut in everything from the pink walls and themed pop art to the plush decor and room service offerings.
Each room features a cinnamon donut diffuser, towels and oversized bathrobes, cinnamon-scented bathroom amenities and pink deco glassware in additional nods to the theme.
Guests can also take advantage of the suites’ exclusive ‘press for hot cinni donuts’ call service.
Anyone staying at Ovolo Sydney that weekend will be able to get a taste of the Donut King collaboration, from the lobby decor to the food and drink menu.
Cinnamon-inspired treats including donuts with dulce de leche, cauliflower bites with cinnamon-spiced mayo, chicken skewers with cinnamon BBQ sauce, and even a cinnamon-inspired cocktail – the ‘Cinnitini’ – will be added to the hotel menu.
Room service donuts will also be available to order for all hotel guests at no extra cost.
Donut King marketing manager Raquel Hine described the partnership as an “unmissable” experience.
“We all have memories of family time spent with a Donut King signature cinnamon donut, and millions of Aussies have grown up sharing that experience, which is why we set out to hero our number-one product in all its glory every year on a huge industry day,” she said.
“We are famously known as the home of the hot cinnamon donut, because when it comes to our cinnamon donuts, we have the best – no question.”
Ovolo Hotels general manager James Clark said the collaboration was a “sweet deal” offering guests an “exhilarating and unexpected” experience.
“We’re constantly exploring new experiences for our guests to enhance their stay, and we believe they will absolutely crave and love this limited – yet delightfully sweet – addition.”
Bookable stays are available between Friday, June 6 and Sunday, June 9, for the first five guests that book. Places are limited to one night per guest, per stay.
The booking link will go live at 9am on Thursday, May 29.
