The family of Rajwinder Singh, 40, are giving evidence in Toyah Cordingley’s murder trial on day six of the proceedings.

This week, the focus of evidence has been the early stages of the police investigation into Ms Cordingley’s death on October 21, 2018, with officers in charge of analysing CCTV, mobile telephone, and cell tower data called, along with telecommunications experts.

Mr Singh, 40, has been charged with murdering the 24-year-old on Wangetti Beach on October 21, 2018.

Sukhdeep Kaur, the wife of Rajwinder Singh, has detailed her and her husband’s relationship before Toyah Cordingley’s alleged murder in 2018.

Ms Kaur took the stand with her head covered in a black shawl and did not look at Mr Singh.

He has entered a plea of not guilty.
