Paramedics were unable to save a woman who was mauled by a dog at a home on the Eyre Peninsula.
A woman has died after being attacked by a dog at a home on the Eyre Peninsula.
Emergency services were called to a home on Murphy Crescent in Whyalla Stuart, just after 4pm on Thursday after reports of an animal bite.
A 39-year-old woman, who lived at the property, suffered serious injuries and was treated at the scene, SA Police said.
She was unable to be revived and died.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
It is not yet known what breed of dog attacked the woman, or whether it has been seized by authorities.
