Never-before-seen CCTV, images from house of horrors where Elizabeth Struhs died

For the first time, never-before-seen images from inside the home where Elizabeth Struhs suffered and died have been released.

As eight-year-old Elizabeth Struhs lay dying from a diabetes-induced ketoacidosis, the medicine that could have saved her life was heartbreakingly within arm’s reach.

Harrowing images from inside the Struhs house of horrors where the young girl died reveal the home was scattered with small unopened vials of NovoRapid, a form of rapid-acting insulin Elizabeth needed to treat her Type 1 diabetes, in addition to medical equipment she had relied on daily since she was first diagnosed in late 2019.

Some vials of the drug were found in a small box in the Struhs’ family fridge - indicating they were still being used in the days before the fatal decision to stop Elizabeth’s insulin was made.

In one of the bedrooms, a Dexcom device - used to monitor glucose levels for people with diabetes - was found in its packaged box.

In early January 2022, her parents Jason Richard Struhs and Kerry Elizabeth Struhs stopped giving her the insulin medication.

Instead, over the course of a week, and along with members of The Saints they opted to pray to God to heal their daughter - in accordance with their fringe faith-healing beliefs.

CCTV from a neighbouring property capture Brendan Stevens attending the Struhs’ home that same day, with the court being told he had organised for an “impromptu fellowship” at the home.

His white ute can be seen parked outside the Meredith Cres address on multiple occasions, including on January 8. when Jason Struhs phoned triple-0 to inform them of his daughter’s death.

In other images, Elizabeth’s older brother Zachary Alan Struhs can be seen going for a bike ride with a man who appears to be Sebastian Stevens on January 3.

Members of The Saints who came and went to the home prayed for God to heal Elizabeth and helped encourage and build up the Struhs family over the course of the week.

It culminated in three of the Stevens children - Sebastian, Acacia and Camellia - staying the night of January 6 to look after Elizabeth as her parents slept upstairs.

Elizabeth is not pictured in any of the images released by the Court but photos of her were recovered on phones belonging to members of The Saints.
