Horror as truck crashes into house, kills two in Victoria’s southwest coast
The truck veered off a highway before crashing into a home.
A truck has crashed into a house, killing two elderly people in Victoria’s southwest coast.
Emergency services were called to a house on the Princes Highway in Tower Hill just after 7am on Friday following reports a truck had veered from the road and crashed into the home.
An 81-year-old man and 80-year-old woman inside the house died at the scene.
They are yet to be formally identified.
The truck driver, a 70-year-old Portland man, was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are set to arrive on scene, with investigations ongoing.
Police have urged anyone with information, CCTV, or dashcam footage to come forward.
There have been 224 lives lost on Victorian roads this year, down from 235 lives lost this time last year.
