A 51-year-old man has allegedly been firing arrows into a Melbourne schoolyard for the past three months
A man has allegedly been firing arrows into the yard of a special needs school in Melbourne for the past three months.
Police allege a 51-year-old man sporadically fired volleys into the grounds of Glenroy Specialist School on Hilton St since August.
The school is located in Melbourne’s northwest and caters for children who have physical or multiple disabilities or complex health needs.
A police spokesman said no one was injured in any of the incidents and allege they were not targeted at any particular individual.
Detectives raided a home on Trevannion St in Glenroy on Thursday and arrested the man.
Police allege they found bows, arrows, ball bearings and a slingshot during when they searched the property.
The man has been charged with reckless conduct endangering serious injury, discharging a missile and wilful damage.
He was given bail and is due to appear in the Broadmeadows Magistrates Court on April 15.
