IT’S one thing to own a shed full of vintage vehicles and machinery, but for Fyansford’s Tom McCann the joy comes from sharing them with the world.

IT’S one thing to own a shed full of vintage vehicles and machinery, but for Fyansford’s Tom McCann the joy comes from sharing them with the world.

Mr McCann will showcase some of his collection, including this 1968 International C1800, at the Geelong Classic Truck and Machinery Show, on Saturday and Sunday at Geelong Showgrounds.

Mr McCann said that at last year’s event one elderly visitor noted the 1925 model tractor he was showing was exactly like one the visitor’s grandfather had owned but never let him drive — so Mr Cann said they “propped him up into the seat and he had a bit of a spin”. “I have these things because I enjoy them ... I like to work on them, but I really love showing them to others so they can go ‘I remember that’,” he said.
