Two girls, aged seven, killed in horror car crash

Two seven-year-old girls have been killed in a car crash, while the driver of the vehicle has been taken to hospital for treatment.

Two young girls have been killed in a horrific crash after the car they were passengers in ploughed into a tree.

The crash happened on Great Eastern Highway in Carrabin, between Merredin and Southern Cross in Western Australia’s Wheatbelt region, about 11.10am on Sunday.

WA Police, St John Ambulance and the Department of Fire and Emergency Services attended the crash site.

“Upon arrival at the scene it was confirmed the crash involved a white Toyota Camry sedan, which had left the road and struck a tree,” police said in a statement.

“Tragically, two seven-year-old girls died at the scene.”

A 31-year-old woman who was driving the vehicle was taken to Merredin Hospital by ambulance.
