Major delays across Sydney roads after car catches fire and truck is stuck in a tunnel

Traffic chaos has ensued across two major Sydney roads after a car caught fire and a truck became stuck in separate incidents.

Chaos has erupted on multiple roads across Sydney after a car erupted in flames and a truck became stuck in a tunnel.

The Warringah Freeway is facing major delays on northbound traffic after a burning car closed two of three lanes on Tuesday afternoon.

Traffic remains deadlocked from Kensington to Cammeray, with motorists advised to avoid driving in the area or allow for extra travel time.

The northbound Miller St off ramp remains closed.

Meanwhile, the Eastern Distributor also had lanes closed after an overheight vehicle became stuck in the Domain Tunnel.

It caused one of three northbound lanes on the Eastern Distributor to be closed.

Emergency services are warning drivers to allow extra travel time in both directions.
