Burwood, Melbourne: Group of teens on the run after fatal crash
The driver died after his car was allegedly T-boned by a Jeep Cherokee stolen by a group of teens who are on the run.
A group of teens are on the run after allegedly fleeing the scene of crash in Melbourne’s east that left a man dead.
The driver died after his car was T-boned by a stolen Jeep Cherokee on Highbury Rd in Burwood at 7pm on Tuesday, according to police.
The man has not yet been formally identified.
Two teenage girls, aged 15, were arrested later that night and taken to hospital.
Four young males are alleged to have fled the scene.
Detective Senior Sergeant Christian Von Tunk on Wednesday said a manhunt was still ongoing.
He said the males were believed to have fled through a nearby park.
Officers located gloves in the area.
The Jeep the group were travelling in was allegedly stolen in an aggravated burglary in Cranbourne South on Friday.
It was allegedly used in an armed robbery in Ormond.
