Goldacres Batchmate introduces unique agitation system for faster mix
CHEMICAL mixers are gaining popularity among broadacre farmers looking to get a better blend.
CHEMICAL mixers are gaining popularity among broadacre farmers looking to get a better blend before filling boom sprayers.
There are a few brands on the market and Goldacres has now released its version with a unique agitation system.
Called a Batchmate, it is fitted with an 800L main tank with twin two-inch agitation ports that create separate vortexes within it.
These spin in opposite directions, colliding in the middle to create better agitation and a faster mix.
The chemical mix is then pumped into the sprayer via a three-inch port, the Aussie poly pump powered by a 5.5hp Honda GX200.
“One of the key concerns with powders and granular chemicals is the proper mixing before application,” said Stephen Richards, Goldacres sales and marketing operations manager.
“Most sprayers are fitted with built-in agitation jets in their main product tanks, but they may not be producing the required agitation, or volume of movement required to adequately mix chemicals before application.
“That can lead to poor or inefficient chemical application and a waste of money or damage to crops.”
He said Goldacres consulted with local farmers to develop the agitation feature as well as include a wash-down gun and 23-litre hand wash tank and soap dispenser.
The three-inch pump produces open flow capacity of more than 600L/min drawing from the tank and can also be used to load the sprayer tank with water at an open flow rate of about 1000L/min.
Plumbed with camlock fittings, the Batchmate comes with a high-capacity chemical probe that allows users to draw liquid chemical from drums. The main 800L product tank is fitted with twin lids for ease of loading and cleaning.
One opening, fitted with a drum rinse nozzle, can also have a Drumbuster spear for rapid piercing of chemical containers.
Constructed on a 40mm RHS skid base with fork slots, the Batchmate can be mounted on fork skids and there is an optional trailered version.
Simple to operate, the unit is fitted with oversize tap handles for easy grip and a clear control panel — all within easy reach.
“The Batchmate is not the first unit of its kind on the market, but it is the most completely resolved chemical mixing station,” Mr Richards said.
The Batchmate retails at $8499 (incl. GST). For details, visit goldacres.com.au.
