AUSTRALIA is one of the most food secure nations in the world, but a global pandemic has reinforced the value of buying Australian products.

That’s a lesson our farmers appear to have appreciated for a long time.

Farmers produce the food consumers have taken for granted, but they’ve also supported Australian businesses like Wangaratta’s Burder Industries.

Since 1991 Burder has grown from a team of five people, to today employ more than 60.

“Burder is now Australia’s largest supplier of Australian-made front-end loaders,” Burder Industries sales and marketing team member Campbell Fendyk said.

“We are an Australian family owned company and make over 90 per cent of our products here in Australia.”

From humble beginnings and a small product range, Burder has actively invested in the design and development of new products for the agricultural market.

The rise has been steady but impressive. It took Burder just two years to sell 4000 loaders.

The Fendyk family is now looking forward to celebrating the company’s 30th anniversary in 2021.

Burder leads the pack on locally made front-end loaders, but there’s much more on offer.

With more than 2000 subframe designs and the ability to manufacture loaders, forklifts and attachments for tractors new on the market today or any suitable host tractor, Burder has at its core, the ability to customise, design, and deliver value for money equipment in the shortest possible lead time.

Its range of front-end loaders can be fitted with an impressive array of attachments, including bale forks, pallet forks, grabs, buckets, blades, rakes and grapples.

Burder also offers a variety of innovative forklift attachments, bale feeders, trenchers, posthole diggers and rear loaders.

Burder supplies the horticulture and viticulture industries, as well as the dairy and general earthmoving markets, through products from its sister company Titan Custom Trailers.

The company also offers a range of Bison agricultural implements, Anderson hay and silage handling equipment, Orsi mulchers, Rabe tillage equipment, Martignani sprayers, Sitrex feed mixers and Titan backhoes.

“Our goal is to continue to invest in our people and our products, both locally-made and imported, to become a premier supplier of materials handling equipment and farm mechanisation products,” Mr Fendyk said.
