FOUR inspiring women will tell their story at the Women in Ag Luncheon at Farm World this year.

Sponsored by Telstra, the lunch is a chance for female guests to network with other hard-working women and be motivated by the success of the guest speakers.

Among the line-up is Narelle Fraser, a former Victoria Police detective, specialising in child abuse and sex offence cases.

Throughout her career she worked on investigations including the 2002 Bali Bombing and the Mornington Monster.

Joining Narelle on stage will be Toni Barton, founder and creator of Lamb Bacon.

Toni will talk about her decision to get into farming after a 17-year stint in a corporate career, and how her product and farming enterprise came to be.

Beginning as a novice farmer in 1983, Shirley Harlock has evolved into one of the nation’s most prominent dairy farmers. Not only is she one of the most notable and proactive representatives for the dairy industry, she is also one of the first women to be inducted onto the West Victorian Dairy Industry Honour Board.

Shirley will discuss how she benefited from diversifying her business and how investing in research and innovation leads to growth and development.

The final speaker is the voice of all things agriculture, and the first female editor of The Weekly Times.

Natalee Ward will talk about her journey to the top and what she has learnt working at various regional publications.

Tickets for the Women in Ag luncheon cost $50 and can be bought online. Tickets include the presentations, entry to FarmWorld, lunch and a gift bag.
