THE Farm World Food and Fibre Fiesta will be sweetened by honey treats from Gippsland’s Blue Tree Honey Farm.

Passionate beekeeping enthusiasts Robert and Sharon Fisher opened the doors to their farm in January last year, and have enjoyed sustained success ever since.

“We focus on the supply of raw, unheated and unblended honey from our own local hives based in apiaries throughout South Gippsland,” Robert said.

“We are passionate about educating beekeepers and the public about the importance of bees in our environment, and the great variety of honeys our region has to offer.”

Visitors to the farm are treated to honey tastings and Devonshire tea, along with educational displays and demonstrations, including honey extracting and beehive tours in the warmer months.

“To top off the visits we have our unique live indoor observation beehive that people of all ages love,” Robert said.

The Fishers have been regular contributors on the market circuit since the farm’s inception, however this will be their first time at Farm World.

They will have a portable bee display on show at their stall.

Revellers can taste the Gippsland honey for themselves at FF7, in the Food and Fibre Fiesta.
