Farm World 2017: Burder Industries celebrates two new partnerships
WANGARATTA agricultural equipment manufacturer Burder Industries will come to Farm World with two new partnerships to celebrate.
WANGARATTA agricultural equipment manufacturer Burder Industries will come to Farm World with two new partnerships to celebrate.
Burder will officially launch its new distribution arrangement with German tillage specialist Rabe equipment and announce plans to import the Dutch-made Zuidberg tracks.
The Rabe equipment is designed for uses as varied as broadacre agriculture, dairy, vegetables and orchards.
Burder product manager John Moore said the company was bringing in speed tillers, deep rippers for handling clay pans, offset disc harrows and Combibirds (a combination of disc and tine machines).
“For Farm World, we’ll probably have a 3m speed disc and the 3m Combibird from Rabe, plus a model of a track system from Zuidberg,” Mr Moore said.
“We already sell front linkages and PTOs from Zuidberg, so they’re well on our radar.
“Last winter, we were inundated with queries for tracks and there were a lot we couldn’t handle because of the range people wanted.”
Mr Moore said one man had a Patriot sprayer and wanted to fit a track system, while other inquiries have come from farmers operating on 3m widths.
“Zuidberg does have a program going at the moment for 150hp-plus (110kW-plus) tractors, mainly John Deere, Case, Massey-Ferguson and Fendt,
he said.
“The tracks can be mounted directly to the flanged shaft or bar axle and produce less ground pressure, optimum traction and increased stability.
“The company’s export manager is coming from Europe to Farm World, so we plan to speak with him about the possibilities for narrower tracks for vegie growing as against the broadacre set-up. This new equipment is well on its way from Europe for distribution to our Wangaratta and Perth operations, and spare parts and technical support are also wrapped up in the package.”
