The inaugural Australian Stock Horse Extravaganza will entertain the crowds in the main and small arena from Thursday to Sunday.
One half of duo Double Dan Horsemanship will put on a show on Thursday and Friday featuring comedy acts, roman riding and fire routines.
Some of Victoria’s best polocrosse players will make an appearance on Thursday afternoon to show the audience what it takes to make it in the fast-paced, highly skilled sport.
Friday marks the beginning of the competitive part of the expo, with the Inter Branch Challenge commencing. Competing in teams of three riders, the horses will be tested on working tests, time trials and station horse section.
The Super Horse Challenge runs over the weekend and will see the country’s best riders competing across seven equestrian disciplines for the glory as well as a hefty prize. Challenges range from barrel racing and bareback obstacles to show jumping and target whip cracking.
Alongside those major events will be plenty of other displays for the family to enjoy, including speakers, pony club performances and exhibitors from every corner of the equestrian world.
