FEEDING out has just got quicker and a whole lot easier with the Duncan Agmech Multi Feeder, on show at the Duncan Ag site (1067).

This versatile unit feeds out round or square bales while coping with fine-chop loose silage and maize and similar feeds.

Well engineered and super strong, it boasts an elevator on one side and a shredder on the other so tight bales can be shredded before being thrown out over the elevator.

The elevator is on a hydraulic ram that folds down to allow feed to be directed into a trough or under an electric fence.

With tandem suspension, a low centre of gravity yet with good ground clearance, and flotation wheels, it is easy to get around the paddocks.

On show too at the Duncan Ag display is the brand new electric-drive MK4 Renovator.

While this New Zealand-made renovator has been around for several years and proven itself a hardy winner Australia-wide, the inclusion of electric drive has taken ease-of-use up a notch.

“The model we have here is the first in the country and it’s available as of now,” says Duncan Ag’s Matt Moodie.

“We have used the same system on some of our other drills for probably 10 years and now it’s going into more of our mainstream machines.

“It comes with ground-following radar that picks up the ground speed and adjusts the electric motors accordingly.

“This allows you to change the rates on the go with a simple push-button calibration, without getting out of the cab. So it takes away the need to change the sprockets as you would with a manual ground-drive system.”

The updated MK4 Renovator is also compatible with Isobus and Isocam device and software systems, eliminating the need to swap different control boxes in and out of the unit.

The Duncan Ag team is also displaying its more economical seeder, the Eco Air Seeder. It’s a single-box, 16-run unit with air delivery and comes in three-point linkage or trailing options.

Able to sow a variety of seeds from clover, rape and swedes right up to oats, wheat and peas, it has a 300-litre hopper and is available with electric or hydraulic fan options plus ground-speed radar or a sensor on the wheel.
