In 2018, we have apps for pretty much everything.

If you’re looking for someone to love, you swipe right on Tinder. If you’re feeling less-than-inspired to cook after a busy day at work, there’s UberEats. Believe it or not, there’s even an app to tell you where you’ve parked your car (in a pirate’s voice, of course). While there are apps to help you with everything from ghost-hunting to time-wasting, there’s also now an app for picking the perfect career for you.

Introducing the TAFE NSW ‘Be Ambitious’ Career Match Maker app, which allows your swipe to instantly match you to a  career you’ll love and unlock some great, interactive content about the range of courses to get you there.

HOW IT WORKS

First, grab your copy of the 2019 TAFE NSW Career Guide and download the ‘Be Ambitious’ app, then look for the ‘BE’ symbol scattered throughout the guide. Note: it’s generally placed near an image on any given page.

Once you find the ‘BE’ symbol on a career page that interests you, hover your smart device over it to unlock some great, interactive content featuring some recent graduates. Get the lowdown on life at TAFE NSW, hear about the hands-on, real world training you’ll receive, and what it’s like to follow your chosen career path.

No matter what you’re interested in, flying high in aviation, crunching deals in business, working up a sweat in health and fitness or building a great future in construction, the interactive edition of the 2019 Career Guide will help you find a fantastic course that will get you to your goals, faster.

While the app will help with career-planning, so will the TAFE NSW Open Day. A great opportunity to kick start your career, launch your small business or gain job-ready skills, discover TAFE NSW degrees and university pathway options, check out live demonstrations, talk with teachers, enjoy live music, get hands-on in workshops, and gain the best career advice. Visitors to the event can also explore the practical, state-of-the-art facilities, talk to industry experienced teachers and find out more about the 1,200 courses and degrees on offer at TAFE NSW.
