With changes in place to support the Inner West’s booming population, Transport for NSW have added more than 80 services each week to the T2 Inner West Line, with popular stations such as Flemington and Newtown receiving a 60% increase in services also.

During the morning and afternoon peaks, most Inner West stations will receive services every six minutes on average, instead of every 15 minutes as it stands today. Inner West customers will also gain an extension of the T2 Inner West Line to Parramatta on weekdays, creating a new direct link to Sydney’s second CBD for the first time. This also eliminates the need to change trains each morning and night. In addition, train services will double for customers commuting from Summer Hill, Lewisham, Petersham and Stanmore, during peak times due to increased demand. Customers from Burwood, Croydon, Ashfield and Newtown will have an extra 2-4 trains per hour during peak times, which means locals will have a turn up and go style of service. Timetables are changing across train, bus and ferry services from Sunday 26th November, with an additional 8,600 extra weekly services delivered across the Sydney network.
