WHEN you rock up to this ‘kidult' haven, you'd be forgiven for thinking you were entering a church for Sunday mass… you're definitely not.

Built inside an old beautiful church, its insides have been stripped of pews and jam-packed with a whole lot of fun.

This place is pumping. There are cocktails with sour straps and lollies poking out of them, tunes booming from a DJ deck and it looks like a bag of skittles has thrown up in every room – but in a good way.

It’s called Holey Moley, and it’s quite possibly the coolest mini golf set-up we’ve seen…at least in recent memory.

Get yourself to Brisbane to putt your way through pinball machines, pool tables and a mock-up bathroom before snapping some Insta selfies on The Iron Throne.

Make a mental note to check it out in Fortitude Valley next time you’re in the big smoke.

While you’re there, let your kidult side run wild with these other super fun things to do:

  •         Be a real-life detective: Rally your smart friends and head to Escape Hunt is West End or Exitus in the city. The challenge is to solve the mystery cases before the time runs out.
  •         The Obliteration Room: Enter the world of leading contemporary Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama and ‘obliterate’ the white room with colourful dot stickers. The room acts as an evolving artwork where visitors are the artists, drenching the walls, floor and furniture in thousands of bursts of colour.
  •         The Wizard of Oz musical: Take a stroll down the yellow brick road with childhood favourite The Wizard of Oz, in all its musical glory. Enjoy the classic songs from the original plus new tunes by Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber. This is at Brisbane’s Lyric Theatre for four weeks only from November 4.
  •         Netherworld: Their website puts it best when they say “In the waste land of The Valley, far beyond where Brisbane punters should dare explore…lies the Netherworld – a drinking hole, diner and collection of gaming relics from decades past”. Enough said.
  •         Pincadia: The latest barcade to hit Brisbane, Pincadia is a time warp back to the mid-80s with vintage pinball machines, gaming consoles, board games and more. Plus it’s got all the perks of a quirky bar.
  •         Paint and sip: Why bother with small talk when you can lose yourself in a painting next time you’re at the bar. Cork and Chorma’s paint and sip sessions are perfect for solo dining, small groups of friends or even date night – plus you take home your work of art.
  •         Fly like a bird: Head to Mount Tamborine and get monkey-like at Thunderbird Park – the ultimate outdoor adventure park. Zip line along 11 huge flying foxes through the scenic forest and get the adrenalin pumping with more than 100 treetop challenges.
