‘We are so excited’: Aussie tennis great Sam Stosur announces baby news

Sam Stosur has taken to social media to announce she is pregnant and will be welcoming a new addition to her family with partner Liz Astling.

Australian tennis great Sam Stosur has announced she is pregnant.

Stosur, who shares a daughter with her partner Liz Astling, revealed via social media on Thursday that their family is expanding.

“We’re so excited for the new addition to our family. ️ It’s my turn this time,” she posted.

Stosur and Astling have been together since 2016.

Astling gave birth to their daughter Genevieve, known as Evie, in 2020.

This time round Stosur is going on the pregnancy journey.

Tennis great and Tipping Point host Todd Woodbridge was among the first to offer his congratulations.

“Such awesome news Sam, congrats to you and Liz,” he posted.

Tennis identity Nicole Bradtke added her good wishes.

“So happy for you Sam, hope your feeling OK. Being a mum is the best,” she wrote.

Stosur, who retired from tennis in 2023, greatest success on the tennis court was winning the 2011 US Open.
