Succession star Sarah Snook will shoot her latest role — the lead in a US network television thriller titled All Her Fault — in Melbourne.
The cast, including Hollywood stars Dakota Fanning (Ripley, The Equalizer 3), Jake Lacy (White Lotus), Abby Elliott (The Bear), Sophie Lillis (It) and Michael Pena (Unstoppable), will also film here.
“I feel so excited about being able to work in Melbourne again,” Snook said.
“The industry we have here, across all departments of cast and crew, is world class.”
Snook lives in Melbourne with husband Dave Lawson, and their 15-month-old daughter.
The Australian actor, who is also an executive producer on All Her Fault, plays Marissa Irvine.
Marissa goes to an address to pick up her son from a play date, but the woman who answers doesn’t have Milo, sparking a parent’s nightmare.
All Her Fault will shoot at Docklands Studio and metropolitan Melbourne, where the CBD locations will double for Chicago.
The first episode will be helmed by award-winning US director, Minkie Spiro, whose credits include Barry, Better Call Saul, Downton Abbey, and Barry.
“It is an absolute honour to be directing All Her Fault starring Sarah Snook, in Melbourne,” Spiro said. “Melbourne is an incredibly film-friendly city brimming with amazing locations and immensely talented crew.”
All Her Fault is produced by Carnival Films, which is part of Universal International Studios.
Snook recently shared her joy of having an international film and television career while living a low-key life in Melbourne.
“My friends and family are here, there’s great culture here, there’s a great lifestyle here. How could I say no to that?”
Snook is best known for her role as Shiv Roy in the drama series Succession, for which she won two Golden Globe Awards and a Primetime Emmy Award.
