The Weekly Times Coles Farmer of the Year Awards: 10-year anniversary celebrated in Canberra

Past winners of The Weekly Times Coles Farmer of the Year have gathered in Canberra to mark 10 years of the award. See all the celebrations.

Past winners of The Weekly Times Coles Farmer of the Year were celebrated in Canberra to mark the award’s 10-year anniversary.

Agriculture Minister Murray Watt addressed the event, hosted by Herald and Weekly Times chairman Penny Fowler and Coles chairman James Graham at the National Portrait Gallery and attended by more than 80 farmers, industry leaders and politicians, including Nationals leader David Littleproud, Liberals deputy leader Sussan Ley, MP for Wannon Dan Tehan, MP for Nicholls Sam Birrell and Victorian Senator Raff Ciccone.

The evening was MC’d by Olympic champion and television personality Giaan Rooney and featured a panel discussion with former winners Prue Bondfield, from the Palgrove beef business at Dalveen in Queensland, and Tom Bull, from Lambpro at Holbrook NSW.
