Ireland Angus: Spring bull sale results sees top price pass $9000

A court-appointed sale for the Ireland Angus stud has been held, marking the next stage in the company’s liquidation. Here are the results.

THE court-appointed spring bull sale of NSW Angus breeders Corey and Prue Ireland was held on Thursday.

The sale was conducted at their Ivydell property in Kyeamba, and online through AuctionsPlus.

A total of 38 bulls sold from 46 on offer to average $5289, according to results from AuctionsPlus.

The top-priced bull, Irelands Quartz Q50, sold for $9,000.The 38 lots sold grossed $201,000.

The sale was conducted by agents Glasser Total Sales Management and Ray White on behalf of the court-appointed receivers KPMG Australia for the sale of the assets of the Ireland Family Trust.

Both the agents and the receivers of the sale would not comment on the results or the proceedings.

The sale marked the next stage in the liquidation of CD & PJ Ireland Pty Ltd.

More than $10 million is owed by the Irelands family and their associated companies to a long list of creditors including Elders, East Coast Stockfeeds and Westpac Banking Corporation.
