Novak Djokovic in brutal take down of ‘medical experts’ as he shares MRI of his left hamstring
Novak Djokovic has fired back at ‘injury experts’ who criticised him from calling it quits just a set into his semi final against Alexander Zverev.
Novak Djokovic has brutally torn down all the “sports injury experts” by posting the results of a scan on his injured hamstring.
The leg injury derailed his hopes of another Australian Open title as he pulled out of his semi-final against Alexander Zverev just one set into the match on Friday.

Djokovic left the court to a chorus of boos, with the 37-year-old saying a tear in his upper left thigh – which was heavily strapped – had made it impossible for him to carry on playing.
After the match Djokovic told a packed post-match press conference that he had done “everything” he possibly could to manage the muscle tear but in the end the pain was “too much” for him to handle.
“Towards the end of that first set I just started feeling more and more pain,” he said on Friday.
“Unfortunate ending, but I tried.”
Djokovic hurt his leg late in the first set of his previous match, a four-set victory against Carlos Alcaraz in the quarter-finals on Tuesday night.
“I know how my body works, what I feel, and I know how much I’ve given to this tournament in the past 20-plus years.
“I will stop here so that I don’t continue (speaking) in the wrong direction.”
However, it didn’t stop fans and wannabe medical experts from hypothesising that Djokovic had taken the easy way out and wasn’t that injured.
But Djokovic put those claims to bed on Saturday as he posted the results of an MRI exam which highlighted a large, dark area inside his thigh.
“Thought I’d leave this here for all the sports injury ‘experts’ out there,” the 10-time Australian Open champion wrote with the MRI image attached to the post on his X account.
The 10-time Australian Open did not offer any additional information, such as the exact diagnosis he might have received or any timeline for his recovery.
But after the post attracted more than seven million views in seven hours tennis fans were quick to change their tune.
“Its absolutely shameful that it has come down and what a tragic day for the ATP Tour when the greatest player in your sport to ever touch a racket has to do this,” one fan wrote.
“You don’t have to explain yourself again and again, Champ! You’re always be the GOAT,” another added.
“Novak, you don’t have to explain to anyone. Anyone who thinks you would quit a Grand Slam for other than injury is not very bright,” a third commented.
